DIRTBUSTERS CARPET CLEANERS AIGBURTH
Today I cleaned a beautiful woven carpet in the South Liverpool suburb of Aigburth. This particular carpet was laid in the 1970’s and had no sign of wear at all. These carpets are not cheap, yet they will last (as in this customer’s case) for decades.
I like to clean woven carpets with a low moisture technique. This is due to the fact that if any carpet has the likelihood to shrink, it’ll be a woven carpet type. Overwetting a woven carpet can bring problems.
So after a good pre-inspection in order to see if the carpet was fitted correctly, I gave the carpet a good slow vacuum. This helps remove as much dry soil from the carpet and gives us a good head start in the deep cleaning process.
Once completed, a good quality pre-spray was applied to the carpet. This was brushed through the pile manually. After a short dwell time, I proceeded to clean the carpet with the van mounted machine using the hot water extraction method at just 150psi. This hot water flushes the soils out of the carpet straight into the back of my van.
After this, I decided to go over the carpet with a rotary machine using cotton pads. This helps absorb more moisture and aids in the drying time. Now the carpet was clean and looked much brighter I situated an air mover in order to speed up drying times further.
AIGBURTH’S CLEANEST CARPET
Aigburth is situated in the South of Liverpool and borders Sefton Park. Other local suburbs to Aigburth are Grassendale, Garston, Dingle and Mossley Hill.
Liverpool Cricket Club is here and Lancashire County Cricket Club are regular guests. Lark Lane is in Aigburth and is one of the more ‘bohemian’ parts of our city.
